So…who am I?

My head Mr. .NET is James Johnson. I’m in my late-twenties and interested in anything technical. I’m a mid-Michigan native and moved into enemy territory…Columbus, Ohio a few years ago. At least I have a great job working for GrapeCity, inc. as a Product Manager. When I’m not hard at work on the excellent products from GrapeCity / Data Dynamics I spend my time writing code on my own projects, playing a multitude of video games (my collection — may not always be up-to-date), complaining about the latest pork spending by the government, and rooting for the Red Wings.

About 6 months before moving to central Ohio I had just started getting interested in astronomy again, sparked by the discovery of Starry Night software. I spent many clear nights outside just gazing at the stars before buying a pair of binoculars (8×56mm). When I moved down to Ohio on January 2nd, 2006; I soon found myself without a night sky to look at. I’m still interested in space and astronomy, but now I only get to gaze at the sky when I visit my parents.

Thanks to some training from work I am also a Certified Scrum Product Owner.

You can e-mail me at my google mail account: jtjohnson.

  1. James,

    I have a program called ImpactMail – http://www.impactmail.com

The programmer who wrote the windows sending service moved to Cali on me a few years back. He has been helpful, but he simply does not have the time.

The long and short of it is that the windows multi-threaded sending service he wrote keeps dying on me after we upgraded servers.

I saw your article on this on codeproject, and want to know if you can sell me a multi-threaded windows based sending service complete with instructions.

  2. Next time you get that itch to see stars on a clear night. Come out here!! The stars are crystal clear and I have a huge field on top of a hill for your panoramic viewing pleasure… Plus, I’d like to see outer space through that telescope you got… :)

  4. Hi, my name is Christy and I am currently an intern at a small business intelligence company, LogiXML, working in their Software as a Service division, LogiOnDemand.

My reason for commenting is that I’m curious of your impressions on a new product we are readying for launch. Thought you might be interested as our free software is based on excel data. If you have the opportunity, I’d greatly appreciate it if you took a look. The website is http://www.widgenie.com/. Feel free to register for a free account.
    Thanks so much,

  6. Data Dynamics is still open; central Ohio had a bad wind storm come through which knocked out power to the office. Hopefully it’ll be restored soon and I can get back to work :)
