New favorite band for the month
Not technology focused, but I’ve been rocking out to All That Remains for a couple days now. I’m very fond of the melodic-rock/metal sound these guys have (and have previously rocked out to Avenged Sevenfold for the same reason).
As with most of my musical discoveries the past few years, I first heard them on Sirius XM Radio.
So far I’ve only purchased their latest album, Overcome; but if this sound is on their previous albums I’m sure I’ll be picking them up too.
Music to work to
I’m currently rocking out to the whole Flyleaf album while I prepare a new build of Data Dynamics Reports for posting. I first heard this song on my way to work this morning on XM’s Squizz; once I remembered I liked it I previewed a few songs and it was a no-brainer to purchase the album.
Some Progressive-House for the weekend
I first heard this song on XM radio on the way to work one morning, bought it on iTunes 20 minutes later.

Earlier tonight I heard this song on XM Online and had to go purchase it.
Megan McCauley “Tap That”
The version I purchased was the Morgan Page Radio Edit, but comparing it to the original linked above its the first time that I know of where the remix is actually slower paced than the original song. All the other remixes I like have much higher BPM than the original.

Now available: O Sweet Static CDs
Lucas has announced that the long awaited O Sweet Static CDs are now available. I’ve heard quite a bit about the band since I joined Data Dynamics. When I started here I was in the support department with two of the band members — Eric Johnson (no relation) and Peter Power — so talk about the band was bound to come up on any given day. After I became a product manager, I also started working with Lucas a lot and the band would come up sometimes as well.
Unfortunately I never got to see the band play live; however I’ve rocked out to the songs on Luc’s iPod several times Definitely worth $10 to get it onto my iPod now.

It arrived
I had a welcome package waiting for me when I go to work this morning. My 16GB iPod touch arrived. Drop shipped from China to arriving this morning only took 3 days.
