Foolin around with Bryce

Lately I’ve gotten the urge to fool around with Bryce[^], a relatively cheap 3D imaging program. As Corel puts it Bryce lets you “create realistic 3D landscapes and animations”. And for being only $80 USD it is a cheap way to play around with some 3D software.

So far I’ve made a few scenes, all of which still aren’t done but I’m a programmer not an artist so they aren’t the best looking things anyway.

Full size (800x600)

A few things yet to do on this one is to make the haze/fog more evident (and thus more realistic looking), put a better sky in there, add a few boats, and put a better terrain underneath the first island so it doesn’t look like its floating on water. Maybe I’ll do that this weekend, if I get all my work for this week done.
