.NET 1.x

3 years late, VS.NET 2002 SP1 is here

Originally promised to be released soon after VS.NET 2003 was released, Microsoft has finally released a service pack for Visual Stuido .NET 2002.

I remember back in late 2002/early 2003 trumpeting the line from MS that soon after VS.NET 2003 was released they would issue a service pack to fix bugs in the IDE that were fixed in the upcoming VS.NET 2003. Its a little late, and it taught me not to trust what MS says will happen to an older product when they are releasing a new one.

Edit: It appears that once the release notes are…well, released they’ll be available, here.

Edit #2: The release notes have been released, see above link. Not that the release notes are useful mind you; it doesn’t include what has been updated/changed. And the KB link to the same is still dead.
