Annoying comment spam and the kitchen sink

Finally fed up with annoying comment spam I’ve installed a new WordPress plug-in that does some Baeysian filtering on the incoming comments.

WPBayes Naive Bayesian comment spam filter is fairly simple to install…unfortunately you have to modify several of the core files for it to work but I hope it will finally persuade the spammers to stop hitting my site.

Eventually I’ll start posting more as well. Even though I don’t get many hours at work I feel extremely guilty if I do anything personal on my laptop from 9-5 even though I only get paid when I’m out of the house. So what do I do instead? Mundane personal stuff, reading my RSS feeds and e-mail while I watch whatever is on FOX News. One of these days I’ll break that habit and actually do something interesting while I wait for work to call. Unfortunately that guilt carries on through the day if I don’t get a call; making most of my days pretty damn boring.

Not much longer and I should have a few hours of work to do as I upgrade a doctor’s office to SP2 and get them all updated. Doing without the updates is just too risky when they have computers that need internet access to bill insurance companies.

How’s that for meandering?
